3. Verify the version firmware of your machine by pressing the * (star) , # (pound) keys at the same time. The LCD will display an alphanumeric number.
- If the first letter is G , below, continue to STEP 4 to update the firmware of your Brother machine.
- If the first letter is H , above , the machine displays date/time , standby mode, the issue is resolved.
